Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos

Legendary Creature — Phyrexian Cat · {2}{W}{B} · Black/White commander

Whenever you cast a Phyrexian creature or artifact creature spell, incubate X, where X is that spell's mana value. (Create an Incubator token with X +1/+1 counters on it and "{2}: Transform this token." It transforms into a 0/0 Phyrexian artifact creature.) At the beginning of each end step, if a Phyrexian died under your control this turn, proliferate.

What a Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos deck needs

Plays as phyrexian typal. What the commander asks of the other 99 — read from the card and checked by hand.

• counter producers (it proliferates every turn)
• phyrexian creatures (its text counts them)

The Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos deck plan

The roles the Forge fills for this commander, and how many cards of each.

• 12× Put +1/+1 counters on creatures you control, or multiply the ones already there
• 26× A body of the exact type the commander's trigger requires — the wrong type is worthless here regardless of quality
• 6× A card that is CAST to trigger the commander — reanimating or blinking it does not count
• 6× Proliferate — every counter already placed is placed again
• 5× Actually remove one problem permanent — preventing its damage is not removing it
• 9× Find the exact card the plan needs
• 1× Answer a whole board at once
• 7× Refill your hand
• 2× Keep a permanent you control alive through removal
