What a The Odd Acorn Gang deck needs

Plays as squirrel typal. What the commander asks of the other 99 — read from the card and checked by hand.

• squirrel creatures (its text counts them)
• many cheap evasive attackers and team evasion (every creature that connects triggers it)

The The Odd Acorn Gang deck plan

The roles the Forge fills for this commander, and how many cards of each.

• 18× A creature the commander's own number counts — every qualifier it names (type, non-type, power cap, keyword) kept
• 8× A token maker whose tokens are creatures the commander's number counts — a repeatable one first
• 26× A body of the exact type the commander's trigger requires — the wrong type is worthless here regardless of quality
• 10× A 0-1 mana creature that reliably attacks UNBLOCKED — the cost the commander's ability consumes, and the only way it gets onto the battlefield
• 6× A card that rewards the deck's creature type as a whole — type cost cutters, type draw, "shares a creature type" pumps
• 4× Evasion that does NOT target or attach — for a commander your own auras and equipment cannot legally touch
• 4× Actually remove one problem permanent — preventing its damage is not removing it
• 8× Find the exact card the plan needs
• 1× Answer a whole board at once
