Game Plan

Etali chains cheap mana acceleration (Sol Ring, Lotus Petal, Chrome Mox, Mana Vault) into a scalable mana-producer loop—Fanatic of Rhonas, Treasonous Ogre, or Birgi, God of Storytelling untapped repeatedly by Formidable Speaker—that converts into infinite storm count, infinite colored mana, or lethal damage via Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Etali, Primal Storm, or Eldritch Evolution. The commander itself is a poison-compression engine: Etali, Primal Conqueror exiles and casts free spells on entry, then transforms into a poison-dealing combat threat that closes the game in two hits.

How It Wins

Fast-mana shell: Sol Ring, Lotus Petal, Chrome Mox, and Mana Vault deploy the engine by turn 2, often with Birgi or a mana dork (Birds of Paradise, Delighted Halfling) already online. The loop: Formidable Speaker's untap ability costs {1} and targets another permanent; once Fanatic of Rhonas taps for {4} (ferocious), Treasonous Ogre taps for {R} (dethrone), or Birgi triggers on spell casts, the untap generates net mana or scales infinitely. Conversion: Eldritch Evolution sacrifices a looped creature to tutor Etali, Primal Storm or Ragavan, dealing damage or generating Treasures; Cream of the Crop stacks the library for free spells; Underworld Breach escapes spells from the graveyard at instant speed. The kill: Etali, Primal Conqueror enters, exiles and casts free spells (often including Delayed Blast Fireball or Fury from the top), then transforms into a 7/7 poison-dealer that wins in two combat steps. Squee, the Immortal + Food Chain generates infinite ETB and colored mana for creature spells, closing via Ragavan or a lethal Etali attack.
