Game Plan

Compact combo kill via Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank or Traumatize + Fraying Sanity, fueled by cheap mana rocks (Sol Ring, Lotus Petal, Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Mana Vault) and tutors (Demonic Tutor, Mystical Tutor, Entomb) to assemble the pieces by turn 3–4. Lo and Li, Royal Advisors converts opponent discard and mill triggers into +1/+1 counters, scaling the commander while the combo engines fire.

How It Wins

Fast mana shell: Sol Ring, Lotus Petal, Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, and Mana Vault deploy the engine by turn 2, leaving mana open for tutors or protection. Tutor chain: Demonic Tutor, Mystical Tutor, and Entomb find combo pieces or mill payoffs on demand; Tainted Pact exiles your library to assemble any missing piece at instant speed. The kill routes: Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank mills and drains each opponent infinitely once a single life loss triggers the loop; Traumatize + Fraying Sanity mills half a library, then Fraying Sanity triggers at end step to mill the rest. Basalt Monolith + Mesmeric Orb generates infinite mill by untapping the Monolith repeatedly. Payoff scaling: Founding the Third Path cheats out cheap spells (Flusterstorm, Broken Ambitions, Fierce Guardianship) without mana cost, turning your spell chain into a storm turn that fills the graveyard and triggers Lo and Li's counter engine. Graveyard recursion: Altar of the Wretched and Heirloom Mirror sacrifice creatures to draw and mill simultaneously, seeding the graveyard while fueling Bloodchief Ascension's quest counters. Induce Paranoia counters threats while milling the target spell's mana value, advancing both defense and combo setup.
