Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel is a sacrifice-drain engine that converts creature deaths into card draw and life pressure. The deck chains Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond into an infinite loop, or deploys Reign of the Pit as a burst sacrifice payoff that scales with Sephiroth, Retreat to Hagra, or The Meathook Massacre to close the game.
Sephiroth's dual trigger: The commander draws a card whenever you sacrifice another creature (via its entry/attack ability), and drains each opponent 1 life whenever any creature dies (the second ability). Once transformed via four death triggers, the emblem locks in the drain, turning every creature death into opponent life loss and your life gain. Infinite combo core: Exquisite Blood (whenever an opponent loses life, you gain that much) + Sanguine Bond (whenever you gain life, target opponent loses that much) creates a closed loop—any single life-loss or lifegain event triggers both, draining a target opponent's entire life total. Demonic Tutor finds either piece on demand. Burst payoff: Reign of the Pit sacrifices each player's creature and creates a Demon token with power equal to total power sacrificed. That token's entry triggers Sephiroth (if it's a creature death), Retreat to Hagra (landfall drain), or The Meathook Massacre (creature-death drain), each converting the sacrifice burst into 40+ damage or life pressure. Drain finishers: Consume Spirit and Drain Life are infinite-mana outlets that double as removal, scaling with any mana engine you assemble. Marauding Blight-Priest converts your lifegain into opponent life loss, amplifying Exquisite Blood's loop or any lifegain trigger into a clock.
