Syr Konrad, the Grim is a sacrifice-drain engine that converts creature deaths into damage to each opponent. You fill your graveyard with cheap creatures and sacrifice outlets, then chain death triggers through Syr Konrad to drain the table. The deck also assembles compact two-card combos—Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank or Syr Konrad + Mindcrank—that create self-feeding loops once any opponent loses life.
Commander as the core engine: Syr Konrad triggers whenever another creature dies, a creature card enters your graveyard from anywhere, or a creature card leaves your graveyard—each trigger deals 1 damage to each opponent. This means every sacrifice, mill, or reanimation event is a damage event. Fast mana into early threats: Sol Ring and Dark Ritual deploy your engine by turn 2–3. Creatures like Stitcher's Supplier and Gravecrawler enter and immediately mill or recur, firing Syr Konrad repeatedly. Sacrifice outlets amplify the loop: Altar of Dementia, Viscera Seer, and Carrion Feeder turn your creatures into repeatable triggers—each sacrifice mills or scries, which mills more creatures, which triggers Syr Konrad again. Tutors find your combo pieces: Diabolic Tutor and Grim Tutor search for Bloodchief Ascension or Mindcrank, the two pieces that turn any life loss into a self-sustaining mill-and-drain loop. Once either combo lands alongside Syr Konrad (who is always available from the command zone), the loop feeds itself: Mindcrank mills cards when opponents lose life, Syr Konrad deals damage when those cards enter the graveyard, and that damage triggers Mindcrank again. Reanimation and recursion keep the pressure: Animate Dead, Tortured Existence, and Wake the Dead recycle your creatures from the graveyard, resetting sacrifice outlets and firing Syr Konrad multiple times per turn. Gray Merchant of Asphodel enters for a burst drain scaled to your black permanents, then dies to trigger Syr Konrad again. Backup finishers: Toxic Deluge pays life to wipe the board, which triggers Mindcrank if it's in play, and Massacre Wurm or Dreadhound enter to drain opponents as creatures die.
