Game Plan

Teysa Karlov doubles all your creature-death triggers, turning a sacrifice engine into a lethal drain. The core combo is Nether Traitor + Phyrexian Altar + Pawn of Ulamog: sacrifice Nether Traitor to Phyrexian Altar for mana, Pawn of Ulamog triggers and creates a Spawn token, Nether Traitor returns from the graveyard for {B}, and you loop infinitely, generating mana and death triggers that Teysa doubles into a table drain.

How It Wins

Fast mana setup: Sol Ring, Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, and Culling the Weak deploy Teysa by turn 2–3, giving you the doubling engine online. Tutors find the combo: Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Intent, Grim Tutor, Entomb, and Buried Alive search for Nether Traitor, Phyrexian Altar, or Pawn of Ulamog—the three pieces that lock the game. Sacrifice outlets fuel the loop: Once assembled, Phyrexian Altar converts creatures into mana while Pawn of Ulamog generates tokens on death; Nether Traitor's graveyard recursion (triggered by any creature death) closes the loop. Teysa's doubling means each death trigger fires twice, so drain effects like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Cruel Celebrant each deal double damage per loop cycle. Backup kill routes: Saw in Half + The Meathook Massacre creates a burst of entry events that scale into lethal damage; Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose + Exquisite Blood forms a lifegain-to-drain loop that drains a single opponent to zero. Ad Nauseam as a resource bridge: Pay life to reveal and keep cards from the top of your library, fueling Cabal Ritual's threshold and filling the graveyard for reanimation and Nether Traitor recursion.
