Game Plan

Compact combo kill: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow chains cheap spells into a protected instant-speed win via Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact into Thassa's Oracle, Laboratory Maniac, or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. The deck deploys fast mana (Sol Ring, Lotus Petal, Mind Stone) to cast the combo by turn 2–3, then shields it with free or cheap interaction (Counterspell, Pact of Negation, Force of Will).

How It Wins

Fast-mana shell: Sol Ring, Lotus Petal, and Mind Stone hit the table turn 1–2, generating the {U}{B} needed to cast Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact at instant speed. The kill: Demonic Consultation exiles your library and puts a card into hand; if Thassa's Oracle is in play, her entry trigger checks devotion to blue — with enough permanents, you win on the spot. Alternatively, Demonic Consultation into Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries wins the same way. Tainted Pact does the same job without needing a named card. Doomsday bridge: Doomsday stacks your top five cards (including Thassa's Oracle) so the next draw or topdeck trigger wins immediately. Tutors fuel consistency: Diabolic Intent, Grim Tutor, Cruel Tutor, and Mystical Tutor find your missing combo piece or protection in the critical window. Protection layer: Counterspell, Pact of Negation, Force of Will, and Daze hold up mana to counter removal or discard aimed at your payoffs, or they blank opposing interaction on your combo turn.
